Suitcases for Kids Update
This article originally appeared in the May 2008 Issue of the REALTOR® Review

In 2006, RASCW joined the national service project designed to collect and distribute new and gently used suitcases, duffel bags and backpacks for foster children who are frequently forced to move from home to home. The drive for donations takes place each year at our Blitz when we ask attendees to bring a suitcase with them.

We would like to thank RASCW Member Rick Kilian of Keller Williams Realty who contacted Lands End last year and this year for donations. Rick's initiative paid off. Lands End has donated close to 200 brand new suitcases directly to the foster care agency in Dane County.

We would also like to express our thanks to RASCW Member Jane Roemer of Coventry Village Realty who organized a drive at Coventry Village that resulted in 100 donated suitcases this year. And to dentist Jim Tauschek of Maple Grove Dental who donated toothbrushes and toothpaste for the kids.
