2008 President - Paula SchmelzerIt is hard to believe that it is August and fall is just around the corner. Summer seems like it just got here and is almost gone. The kids are getting ready to go back to school and we have two fantastic events that are coming up.

The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association's Annual State Convention is being held September 7-9 at the Kalahari Resort. This is a perfect opportunity to generate new ideas that will help you be successful for the rest of 2008 and beyond. Please don¹t forget the many workshops covering technology and other hot topics, the exhibit hall with more than 100 booths, the designation classes and continuing education. I look forward to seeing everyone at all of the sessions, the Prohibition Party and the Chairman's Dinner. Many communities within our Association are struggling due to the flooding this summer. I encourage you to support the local economy while you are in the Dells area.

Our annual RPAC Auction is fast approaching. Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 18th. This year¹s event will be at the The Legends at Bergamont. Your participation is crucial to the success of the event. We can use your help in many ways volunteer to help with the event, donate items that will be auctioned off or attend the event and purchase gifts for family, friends or yourself. I know it is tough year for all, but any way that you can help out will be appreciated. This election year is crucial for local and national races. Your donations help represent thousands of REALTORS® for the benefit of home and property ownership. I hope to see you there.

Have a great month.
