Through the joint efforts of the South Central Wisconsin MLS, the Northeast Wisconsin MLS, and the Multiple Listing Corporation (Metro Milwaukee), WIREX is going LIVE! The new shared database of listings will enable members of the participating MLSs the ability to search for MLS listings in an expanded geographic area. Soon, when you login to Paragon, you will find a new drop down menu located on the login screen. You can choose the default to search properties in the South Central Wisconsin database as you always have, under the same wide range of features as you have been accustomed. You will also have the option to select WIREX to search properties in the WIREX database.

This will enable you to search all active and pending listings as well as listings that have sold or expired since July 1, 2005 in the combined South Central WI, Northeast WI, and Metro Milwaukee MLS markets.

The search screens within WIREX will be very similar to those you have been using in Paragon, however, there will be fewer search options as only fields that are common between the three MLSs will be searchable. The listing reports will also be very similar to those created within Paragon.

Once you are in the South Central Wisconsin or WIREX database, there will be an option at the top of the screen that will allow you to toggle between the databases without logging out and back in.

There are currently eleven MLS databases in the state of Wisconsin. The goal will be for all of these to participate in WIREX as we move forward. By combining listings from the three founding MLSs as the first step, you will have access to over 75% of the available MLS listings in the state.
