5 months

What made you want to pursue real estate as a career?
It allows me to be flexible in my schedule and spend more time with my family, and provides good pay.

What was one of your greatest challenges as a new agent?
The language.

What motivated you to apply for the RASCW Minority Scholarship?
I haven’t been working for the past 3 years, and I was pregnant and decided to stay home to take care of my kids. RASCW was a blessing for me supporting me with the scholarship – we are a family of 5!

What helped you the most as a new agent?
People believing in me, that I can do it.

What didn’t you have or know starting out that would have been helpful?
Knowledge of the market and knowing offers were being written for 25k or 30k more. I started writing offers for my buyers at 5k or 10k more and had difficulties getting accepted offers for them.

Don’t give up, and take all the good and bad experiences as lessons to learn from.

What has been most rewarding about being a REALTOR®?
Honestly, I have enjoyed every single thing!
