Madison, WI – The REALTORS® Association of South-Central Wisconsin (RASCW) in
partnership with the City of Fitchburg will be hosting a forum on Smart Growth and
Homeownership.

This forum will be hosted on November 13th at the Fitchburg Public Library, 5530 Lacy Road,
from 1:30-3pm. The forum will be moderated by Bill Connors, Executive Director of Smart
Growth Madison, breakout sessions featuring topics such as down payment assistance, zoning
and growth, exploring public and private partnerships and an audience Q & A.

The Funders Forum is designed to bring together funders, lenders, nonprofits, developers, and
housing leaders to explore strategies that expand homeownership, strengthen neighborhoods, and
support Fitchburg’s long-term smart growth goals. Through focused discussions on down
payment assistance, zoning, and partnerships, the forum will help identify practical solutions and
investment opportunities that address the region’s housing needs.

“Working together with the areas RASCW represents is important to our members and their
clients. In a time when many people are worried about the housing market, this forum serves as
a first step to help bring together people from all sectors of housing to create a plan for the
future,” said RASCW Government Affairs Coordinator Allison Soucie.

Fitchburg Mayor Julia Arata-Fratta added “Fitchburg is committed to ensuring that every
resident has access to safe, affordable, and attainable housing. This forum is an opportunity for
our housing partners and funders to discuss the policies, tools, and ideas that will shape our
neighborhoods for decades to come. By working together, we are strengthening Fitchburg’s
future as a place where families, seniors, and workers can thrive.”

Funders, nonprofits, lenders, developers, housing advocates, and community leaders interested in
Fitchburg’s housing future are encouraged to attend this event where light food and refreshments
will be served. The Fitchburg Public Library is fully accessible with elevators and ramps. To secure your spot,
