Ombudsman Services

The professional standards process helps uphold integrity, professionalism, and public trust within the REALTOR® community.

While arbitration, mediation, and ethics enforcement for RASCW members are handled by the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) through the Statewide Professional Standards Program, RASCW continues to offer an important first step in dispute resolution through its ombudsman service.

What the Ombudsman Does

  • Provides a confidential, impartial resource
  • Focuses on communication and conciliation
  • Helps resolve concerns early

What the Ombudsman Does Not Do

  • Determine ethics violations
  • Decide entitlement to compensation

By addressing misunderstandings before they escalate, the ombudsman service can save time, reduce conflict, and preserve professional relationships.

Members are encouraged to use this service when questions or disputes arise and guidance is needed on next steps. This early, constructive approach supports RASCW’s commitment to ethical conduct and professional excellence.
