INTRODUCTION

More than 80 real estate professionals gathered on Wednesday, July 29 for the Women’s Empowerment Conference. The day centered on professional growth, meaningful connections and practical strategies for long-term success. Bringing together South Central Wisconsin women real estate leaders, local business owners and REALTORS® to share ideas, celebrate accomplishments and invest in the future of the profession.

Our CEO Lisa Marshall opened the conference with remarks on pursuing success with purpose and resilience, setting the stage for a full day of learning and collaboration.

ACTIONABLE STRATEGIES FOR BUSINESS GROWTH

Throughout the day, speakers focused on helping REALTORS® build sustainable businesses through intentional systems and smart decision-making. A panel of top-producing brokers shared practical advice on setting boundaries, taking calculated risks and creating habits that support long-term success.

Attendees also participated in a fast-paced “Lightning Round,” where experienced REALTORS® shared quick, actionable tips. Topics ranged from prioritizing personal safety and creating consistent client communication systems to leveraging social media for authentic relationship-building and hosting memorable client appreciation events.

LEARNING BEYOND THE TRANSACTION

Education remained a key focus throughout the conference. Douglas Beals, National Account Manager for Supra, presented strategies for maximizing Supra Lockboxes, while a high-energy speed-networking session encouraged members to exchange ideas, establish new connections, and identify mentorship opportunities.

The conference also highlighted the importance of community impact. Sara Alvarado, co-founder and executive director of Own-It, shared the organization’s work in reducing barriers to homeownership for Black and Brown families throughout the Greater Madison area, encouraging attendees to consider how they can help create more equitable access to homeownership.

CELEBRATING COLLABORATION

The day concluded with an executive panel discussing financial planning, investing in professional development and the value of mentorship, followed by a networking cocktail reception where attendees continued their conversations and built new connections.

Thank you to all the speakers, sponsors and volunteers who helped make this event a success. The event offered women real estate leaders in Wisconsin valuable opportunities to learn from one another, build new connections and exchange ideas.
